Born in Piatra Neamț and later relocating to Iași for my studies, I dedicated myself to advancing my artistic journey and career by participating in both solo and group exhibitions hosted by the local Art Galleries.
Titled “Femininity”, my debut solo exhibition was held in March 2021. Meanwhile, numerous artworks of mine found their way into group exhibitions of iconography and secular arts, having as well several appearances in various art albums.
After graduating with a technician qualification in Mural Arts from the Art Highschool “Victor Brauner” Piatra Neamț, I obtained first a bachelor’s and then a master’s degree in Plastic Arts where I specialised in church paint, Sacred Art and Cultural Heritage at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology – Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași.
The bachelor’s thesis – “Characters and events from the Old Testament in the iconography of Moldova and Bucovina monasteries” – has been published at Vasiliana98 publishing house in 2021, in Iași.
All the ways and methods of visual expression are fascinating for me, starting with the human’s first art manifestations and up to it’s street art of today.
Art Brut is a true passion – the art of freely expressing emotions and not being constrained by any limit imposed by academical education, nor by the shape, form or colour. It’s just pure freedom.
Future projects include publishing my master’s thesis, which explores the subject of Madonna Lactans (The Nursing Madonna), and the development of my forthcoming solo art exhibition.
